AI for character

A mirror and a mentor for becoming a better person, at work and at home, in one whole life.

The problem

Every AI assistant is paid to keep you watching. None is paid to make you better.

Built for the wrong goal

A hammer does not care what you build. AI does. It picks what you see, frames your choices, and answers when you ask what to do — so it shapes your goals, not just your work.

No room to think

There is no time. Burnout leaves none for thinking, and urgency pushes the right thing aside — at home as much as at work. The hard conversation, the quiet compromise, the decision that costs you something: nobody helps with those.

A lack of trust

People will not tell the truth to a machine that makes things up, scores them, or keeps a file on them. So they ask it small questions. The ones that matter never get typed.

None of this is new. People have faced these problems for 4,000 years, and they wrote down what they learned.

Between two failures

Pause removes the future. Accelerate removes the human.

The AI world is split into two camps. Both push the person out of the centre.

Hit pause

Treat AI as a danger and stop it. In a free society that is impossible, and trying only creates rules that block good work and leave the field to people who ignore the rules.

Hit the accelerator

Trust speed and markets. But the loudest voices treat technology as the goal of human life, not a tool for it, and measure progress by what machines can do, not by how people are doing.

There is a third path: technology that helps people flourish, and is judged by whether it does. Vyzier is built on that path.

The oldest tool

The tools to live, decide, and lead well already exist.

Philosophy is useful in daily life. It changes how people act, choose, and lead. The wisdom already exists. What people lack is having it in front of them at the moment they must decide.

In personal life

  • Knowing yourself. Who am I, and do my actions match what I value. The Stoics: staying steady when emotions run high.
  • Choosing well. Telling needs from distractions; the long view over the quick reaction. The existentialists: you are responsible for your own meaning.
  • Staying strong. Accepting what you cannot control. The Stoics and Buddhists: acceptance reduces suffering.

In professional life

  • Doing right under pressure. Thinking clearly about right and wrong when it costs you something. Kant's test: what if everyone did this?
  • Asking better questions. Long-term effects over short-term gain. Clear thinking from first principles.
  • Leading people. Staying calm when things are unclear; understanding other points of view. Aristotle and Confucius: virtue and the common good.

The idea

A mirror and a mentor.

The goal is human flourishing: building good character and becoming the person you want to be. Not a slogan. It is what the product is measured against.

Vyzier puts that tool in your hand at the moment you need it. It reads your own words about your life, shows you what those words reveal, and offers a way forward drawn from reviewed human wisdom. One private record, with three views on it: Personal, Professional, and Whole.

  • Your words are the only evidence. Every reading points back to something you actually wrote. The AI cannot quote you; the system does, word for word.
  • Advice comes from a source, not from thin air. A principle from a reviewed book, one story from that book, and a practical next step. When no reviewed book fits, Vyzier says so and gives its own view, clearly labelled.
  • Never a scold, never a score. No grades, no rankings, no hidden profile. Every reflection is offered gently and says how sure it is.

The product today

One question in. Three responses out.

The same three responses serve every view. Professional is live first: careers, leadership, hard conversations, ethics, workload, and power. Personal and Whole follow on the same base. The example below is made up; no real user data is shown.

A person writes

My manager wants me to sign off the audit summary today. Two of the numbers are still estimates and she knows it. I don't want to be the difficult one again.

Living Dialogue

The direct reply. It answers the question in plain language, at the depth you chose.

Current Reflection

Seems to weigh being liked against being accurate. Only one clue, so this is very uncertain. Based on "I don't want to be the difficult one again."

Your Way Forward

Principle: some things are up to us and some are not; what we sign is up to us. Source: Epictetus, Enchiridion, reviewed edition. You could: sign the parts that are final and label the two estimates as estimates.

Also live: a depth setting (Essential, Expanded, Deep), a philosophical question with four positions and no right answer, a deeper look at your work personality when you ask for it, and a read-only list of every question you have asked.

How it works

Exact words in a private River. Reviewed wisdom in a shared Library.

Wisdom from the Library is advice about a situation, never evidence about a person. The two never mix.

Principles in code

Three principles, written into the code.

You decide, the machine does not. It gives you balanced options, not a verdict. Nobody owns your record but you.

Evidence · Your words only

The AI never writes the evidence.

It only points to numbered pieces of your words. The system looks up the exact text itself and checks it.

Checking · All or nothing

Nothing is shown half-checked.

Every result is checked as a whole: who it belongs to, which version, the sources, the time limits. One failure rejects all of it.

Privacy · One key per person

Private by design.

Each person's record is encrypted with their own key. No unencrypted copy, no shared key, and no browser can reach the database directly.

Safety · Stops before acting

Stops safely when unsure.

If a setting is missing or wrong, the system stops before it saves anything or makes a paid call. Identity comes only from a verified sign-in.

Control · Owner only

Owner-only controls.

The answer rules cannot be edited in place, the AI model is chosen without seeing anyone's words, and the audit log holds no personal text. No AI or browser can change a rule.

Proof · Tested like evidence

Over 2,100 automated tests.

Every live evaluation is planned in writing before it runs, recorded so it cannot be changed, and reviewed blind by a human.

Where we are

Live with real users. Measuring usefulness, not vanity.

  • FoundationFirst line of code. Vision, the River model, and the testing discipline set from day one.
  • BuildPrivate pilot with real users, with encryption, spending limits, and owner controls.
  • TestingTwelve planned tests of the wisdom search on a separate test system, each reviewed blind by a human.
  • NowProfessional release live. A three-person private pilot begins, with pass criteria fixed in advance.
  • NextPilot ends. The results decide what comes next: better search, better experience, or growth.

Roadmap

One life, three scopes: Personal, Professional, Whole.

All three are views on one person's private record, never separate accounts. They open in the order trust allows.

Now

Professional

Work, leadership, ethics, and power. Live in a private pilot, with advice cited from a reviewed library.

Next

Personal

Daily habits, reflection without judgment, resilience. A second view on the same private record, never a second account.

Then

Whole

Work and personal words are combined only when the person clearly chooses it. Consent is the feature.

Horizon

Societal

Shared words for what matters, agreed before the hard day comes. Still traced to each person’s own words, never a score.

Market

Who pays to become a better person?

One person first: a senior professional who pays for themselves. Companies come later. Personal comes last.

What people pay today, for less

  • Executive coaching. $200 to $600 an hour, and you wait for the appointment.
  • Leadership training. About $1,420 per employee a year.
  • Wellbeing and journaling apps. $5 to $70 a month, for calm, not for judgment.
  • General AI assistants. About $20 a month to go faster, never to become better.

Why the market looks small

Coaching is only $5.3 billion a year, shared by 123,000 coaches. It is small because it is made of hours, and nobody can add hours.

Vyzier removes the hour. The question is not what share of coaching we take. It is how many people could never afford a coach at all.

Why now

AI can now hold months of a person’s own words and say where its advice came from. People already pay for an assistant that makes them faster. The habit exists; the better product does not.

Business model

How Vyzier earns.

One subscription, paid by the person who uses it. A single hour of coaching costs more than a year of Vyzier.

What is sold

  • The person pays, first. A professional subscription bought by the individual, not by their employer.
  • Companies later. An employer can buy seats, but the record stays private to the person. The company never sees it.
  • Never sold. The record itself. No advertising, no profiles, no data sold, at any price.

What it costs to serve

Every question makes a small, fixed number of paid AI calls, inside a daily limit for each person. The limit is enforced in the code before the call is made, so the cost of a user is capped in advance, not discovered later.

The reviewed library is bought once and serves everyone. Every book added makes every answer better, for every person and every view.

Team

Who is building this.

Founder input

Names, roles, and one line each on why this person for this problem.

  • Founder: background, the experience that led here, and what they own in the product.
  • Editorial: who reviews and approves the books, and why they are qualified.
  • Advisers, if any, and the gap each one fills.

The ask

What we are raising, and what it buys.

Three quarters of the round goes to the product, and a quarter to running it.

  • Product, 75%. Finish the pilot proof, make useful answers appear more often without ever showing a wrong source, and bring the Personal view onto the same private base.
  • Operations, 25%. Keep the service private and reliable, and pay the human reviewers who approve every book.
Founder input

Amount, type of investment, and the goals this round must reach.

Close

Will we choose wisdom?

We can build AI that chases clicks, consumption, and control, or we can build it to make people kinder, braver, and more fully human. Vyzier is a bet on the second.
